Vehicle Accident Standby: 1st Due

Yesterday at approximately 1240 hours, Station 28 was dispatched for vehicle accident standby on the 100 block of W. City Avenue. First arriving units, found a single vehicle through the storefront of a local business. This resulted in one vehicle into side alpha of a single-story, type III, commercial structure. 28 personnel determined all occupants were out of the vehicle and all bystanders were uninjured, refused EMS, and the damage avoided the structural components of the building. The Lower Fire Department Office and the Lower Merion Township Building Department were notified of significant damage to the business and advised to respond. Thankfully, all parties involved were able to walk away uninjured and the township building inspector was able to confirm the building was structurally sound.
Units on scene: Engine 28, FM 34-1, Lower Merion PD, and the Lower Merion Township Building Department.
