Thanks for the shout out Join Lower Merion Fire DepartmentLast week, Union Fire Association conducted a "burn drill.”

More than a dozen new firefighters trained in the use of SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus), operating in smoky conditions, and practiced extinguishing a fire using pressurized water extinguishers.

Regular training exercises allow new firefighters to get hands-on training that will prepare them for the conditions faced during a fire call.
