Recently, members from the Lower Merion Fire Department, specifically the Union Fire Association (28), Belmont Hills Fire Company (22), and Merion Fire Company of Ardmore (25), trained at multiple acquired structures in Station 28’s local. These acquired structures provided a unique opportunity for LMFD personnel to get hands-on training tackling many challenges presented by commercial properties.
Fire operations in these structures demand more resources and personnel than in a residential environment. By conducting joint evolutions, LMFD better ensures the department’s interoperability between our automatic aid partners across the township. Our members would like to thank the Lower Merion Fire Department Office for providing training environments that are critical in ensuring the department’s operational readiness.
